Rumor 21. "Usagi is gay with Raye, Makoto is lesbian and likes Ami, and Usagi and Minako are both bisexual and in love."
NO~~~~~! I think I answered a rumor similar to these three before. Only Haruka and Michiru (and also Seiya in the manga) are
lesbian, everyone else is straight or their sexual preference is never mentioned.
Rumor 22. "Mistress 9 was an 'ichigensaimeitai' (one dimensional being), and it's called 'Tauseikai' (multi-star system)."
VKLL sucks!!! Mistress 9 is an ijigenseimeitai Fourth Dimension Being (a being from the FOURTH dimension, NOT the first). The kanji that make up the word 'ijigen' mean literally 'uncommon dimension' which can be assumed as being the infamous fourth dimension. I confirmed this assumption with three different native, fluent Japanese speakers. They each agreed that the 'uncommon dimention' would be the fourth dimention. And yes, they each have seen the key parts of the anime which talk about 'ijigen'.
It is a well known theory that things of the first, second, and third dimention (1D, 2D, and 3D) are visable to 3D people. 2D can see 1D but not 3D, and 1D can only see 1D. But of course living things can only exist in 3D, so this is all a huge theory.
As an example: You are 3D, correct? You are reading my site, correct? Did you know my site is 2D? It does not have width (Z), it only has length and height (X and Y). Therefore, my site is 2D. Also, before my site gets to your screen it's going through wires. If it had width and was 3D it couldn't get through the wires! It would be either a gas, liquid, or solid (or plasma, but we won't go into that).
It's also part of this same theory that 1D, 2D, and 3D things cannot see 4D beings... if they even exist. We have no way of telling because we can't see them!
So, from this theory, answer the following; If Mistress 9 was 1D would she know of the existance of earth and it's people? NO, because 1D cannot see 3D. If she was 4D would she be able to see humans? YES! Because 4D CAN see 3D.
Mistress 9 and Pharoh 90 had to be able to save Prof. Tomoe and Hotaru before they got the chance to transform themselves into three dimentional beings. When the lab exploded, what did they do? They stopped TIME, you can tell by the fact that Tomoe is still alive and there is much debris hanging out in the air (Hotaru, of course, is already dead, she was literally at ground zero, right in front of the glass in the lab). How do they bring Hotaru back to life? All together now... 'time manipulation'!!
Now... I'm about to unleash a huge opinion based on Hotaru... so I'm sure some big Hotaru fan out there will jump all over this. But I'm going to go ahead and say it anyway.
Sailorsaturn (Hotaru) jumped into Pharoh 90 to destroy him, and Supersailormoon dove in to help, and to save Hotaru. Please put yourself in Pharoh 90's shoes for a moment (yes, I know, he has no shoes, it's a saying). If you were a being capable of time manipulation, what would be a good way to stop your attacker? Making them younger perhaps? I think that when Hotaru began her attack, Pharoh 90 began making Hotaru get younger. Supersailormoon dove in, lent her power, and saved Hotaru before she was reduced to a fetus! Finally, what happens to Hotaru after she is free from the magic of 4D? RAPID AGING!!!! Yes... 'time' at work again! She is free of the effects of the 4D 'spell' (or call it what you will) so her age rapidly goes back to normal!
'Time' is the fourth measurement possesed by 4D beings (in theory). They have X, Y, and Z, measurements, and the added dimention of 'time'. This would lead one to believe that 4D people can time travel, or, better yet, occupy/span many times all at once. A long time ago there was a Star Trek episode that talked about something similar, having to do with speed (yea... ok, I'm a major nerd... shut up! hahaha). It seems like Mistress 9 and Pharoh 90 can do all these things. 4D anyone? Yes, I believe so!
Enough about theories, the kanji for the words 'ijigenseimeitai' appear in the Super series filmcomics AND if your listen closely you can hear clearly that it is pronounced as 'ijigen' NOT 'ichigen'.
Also, it's not
Tauseikai it's Tauseikei, the Tau star system. Not only did VKLL not translate these words
for you in the subs, they gave you the WRONG romanization!! They translated these words INCORRECTLY in a small note at the beginning of
the tape. They should have taken more care and effort when translating such an important part of the story.
Rumor 23. "'Kinmokusei' means 'olive tree star/planet.'"
Ewww! NO WAY! This is probably the most annoying rumor yet! Even worse, I've seen this stupid lie on a few very good sites (which is sad).
The kanji for the word kinmokusei as it pertains to Kakyuu appear on page 39 of volume 18. These exact kanji are written in the manga, I did not guess.
The kaniji are:
KEI, KI (katsura) - Judas tree, katsura tree, cinnamon tree, redbud
KE, KA (hana, moku) - flower, blossom
SEI (hoshi) - star, planet
(I'll add a scan of the exact quote from the manga very soon)
The meaning of the three kanji which can be found by turning to page 39 in volume 18 of the manga series kin moku sei is 'cinnamon blossom star/planet' or 'redbud blossom star/planet' but absolutly NOT 'olive tree star/planet'. The kanji that make up the word 'olive tree' are TOTALLY different from the kanji that make up the word 'kinmokusei' as it is presented in the manga. The kanji for 'olive tree' are 'kin' (meaning gold) and 'ki' (meaning tree). It is true that when the kanji for 'gold' and 'tree' are used together it reads 'kinmoku' and makes the Japanese word for 'olive tree'. But, as you can see above, none of the kanji in kinmokusei mean 'gold' or 'tree'. This is a different word altogether.
If you still fail to believe me, purchase volume 18 and a good kanji dictionary and look up the kanji for yourself.
I previously also brought up another name pun for Kakyuu, but it simply confused people, so I have removed it.
Rumor 24. "The pun for Mizuno Ami (Sailormercury), is 'Asian Beauty of Water'"
Not quite, nice try though. Well we know one thing for sure, the person who started this rumor was much too attached to their beloved kanji dictionary. Perhaps if they weren't a first year student they would have realized that the kanji for 'a' only has a remote relevance to 'Asia' when used as part of the word ajia (Asia). In other words, only when used in conjunction with the other kanji contained in that word. The kanji's meaning used with other words means 'next' or 'second'. I get a bit bitchy when it comes to Japanese language rumors, but it's only because I care! *wink* hehehe.
