- ANIME EXPO 2006!
UPDATE: Koge-Donbo will be attending Anime Expo 2006 in Anaheim, CA July 4th weekend. I will be attending! There is a possibility I will meet her, have something signed, get pictures, gain insights, and even be able to interview her. Nothing is set in stone, I will update again when I know more about what's going to be taking place with her at the convention.
Welcome to Digital Idol. This site focuses on the art and works of Koge-Donbo, mangaka (comic artist) of Kamichama Karin, PitaTen, and creator of DiGi Charat. I was first introduced to Koge-Donbo's work when I saw pictures of the three main characters from DiGi Charat in a summer issue of Animage several years ago. I instantly became a fan and -being, first and foremost, a manga collectior- sought out the manga version of this delightfully hilarious series with the green-haired, loud-mouthed cutie. Upon discovering that there was indeed, not only one, but two, manga series for DiGi Charat ('Dejiko Adventure' and 'DiGi Charat Koshiki Comic Anthology) I knew I was hooked. I fell instantly in love with Koge-Donbo's drawing, CGing, and storytelling style. Keeping up with the usual manga fan code of honor I also sought out and collected her other manga series 'PitaTen' and 'Kamichama Karin' as well as the artbook and picture collections 'Chocola 2000' and 'Chocola 2001.' Because it is the artist's desire to keep her artwork original, and because I feel inclined -as a fan- to respect her wishes, you will not find a DiGi Charat or PitaTen artwork gallery on this site. However, you will find a lot of useful information, cover scans, and reviews on these series. |
