There are several manga versions of Sailormoon: German, Chinese, Korean.. and various other translations. The most common in the US are the English version translation (translated by Mixx, TokyoPop, Chix Comix... or whatever... this manga changes hands so much I have no clue as to who is currently messing up the translation, nor do I care), so far this version consists or around 12 translated volumes; 1 ~ 8 and SuperS 1 ~ 4 (in the english version SuperS 1 ~ 4 are actually volumes 12 ~ 15 of the original series). Also, of course, there is the original Japanese manga consisting of 18 volumes. There are also 3 Codename wa SailorV manga. SailorV manga have been translated into German but not English (yet).

There are 3 types of Sailormoon that most people have seen; The German version dub (which aired of the channels RTL and RTL2 in Germany) consisting of 199 episodes (ep. 89 was never aired). The Canadian/American version dub (seen on Cartoon Network in the USA) consisting of 160 episodes (episodes 2, 5, 6, 20, 42, 67, & 167 ~ 200 or the original series were never aired). There are also several fan subs available by various people around the world. The most popular fan sub group seems to be VKLL. I find that strange due to the large amount of translation errors I (and others) have noticed in their work. The original Japanese version consists of 200 episodes, 3 episode special, SuperS plus, and 3 movies.

I obtained my manga & episodes in a couple different ways. Many local comic shops have catalogs that have Japanese manga and filmbooks, if your comic shop has no manga, you must create a demand for them. Another way to obtain them is to look up the ISBN #'s for the mangas you want, and give them to your comic shop for ordering. Most of my manga and music was obtained directly from Japan. I paid only $3.00 for each Sailormoon manga, and from $6.00 to $8.00 for each filmcomic. Unfortunately, the only way to get them this way is through friends or connections in Japan.

Another way to get manga and Japanese episodes, cards, etc. is to get into auctions. Online auctions are the best. There are many different types of Sailormoon goods that you can find there. The best auction site is eBay. When doing a search on eBay, type 'Sailor Moon'. Many sellers on eBay think that Sailormoon is two words, so your search list will be much larger if you type it this way.
